January 19 (Sun), 2025 ~ September 24 (Fri), 2024
Over the last decade, nuclear physics has achieved remarkable advancement, particularly in ab-initio calculations for nuclear structure and strongly interacting matter, based on the 1st principle of strong interactions, i.e., QCD. This lecture series is designed to focus on the foundational yet essential physics concepts needed to pursue advanced nuclear physics. The first series will cover the Hartree-Fock calculation for nuclear structure and lattice QCD (LQCD) simulation for the matter. Beginning with core principles, the goal is for participants to develop their own Hartree-Fock nuclear structure code and practice simple LQCD data generation and analyses. This lecture series is intended for graduate students and advanced undergraduates. Participants are also encouraged to present their research work during the poster session.
